The First Diabetes Symposium in Iraq - Erbil

Ibn Al Haytham first symposium about diabetes was held in Canyon hotel in Erbil entitled (DDP4 Inhibitors – What’s new in the treatment?) during a series of scientific activities sponsored by Ibn Alhaytham Company in Iraq.
The symposium included four lectures as the following:

- "Recent Advances in the Management of Diabetes According to ADA"
Dr. Dashty B. Dzay

- "Adding an Incretin-Based Therapy Early in T2DM Treatment: Evaluating Options Using Guideline Recommendations"
Dr. Safa E. Al-Mukhtar

- "DM Complications"
Dr. Omer Surchi

A large number of endocrinologists and internists from Erbil attended the symposium in which many questions were answered about the usage of DDP4 inhibitors. Physicians noted to their treatment importance in diabetes world and their additional merits for patients like preventing hypoglycemia attacks and overweight as well as the new studies that talk about the good effects on cardiovascular system.
